My Gear list

Tools and equipment I personally use in my command rig build and field testing.

RAM 1500 Command Rig Build

This is my do everything truck: daily driver, family hauler, and off-road command rig. The goal with this build is capable but clean most of the upgrades are hidden or subtle so the truck still looks mostly stock until it needs to work.

Front End & Winch Setup
  • WARN EVO 12-S Winch
Reliable pulling power with synthetic line so I can self-recover or pull others out without adding a giant bumper to the front of the truck.

  • Vice Designs Hidden Winch Mount
Keeps the winch tucked behind the factory bumper so the front end still looks stock, but the truck is ready for serious recovery when I need it.

Bed Storage & Organization
  • Bed MOLLE Panels
Mounted in the bed so I can secure recovery gear, tools, and emergency items instead of having them rolling around. Easy to reconfigure depending on the trip.

Suspension & Tires
  • Rough Country 6″ Suspension Lift Kit with Struts and Premium N3 Shocks
Extra clearance for trails, ruts, and washouts while still being totally street-drivable. Gives the truck the stance and capability I need for Task Force Resurge trips.

  • 35″ Nitto Ridge Grapplers All-Terrain Tires 35x12.50R20
Larger footprint for traction in dirt, mud, and rocks while still being comfortable on the highway. The tires and lift together transform how the truck handles off-road.

Trail Recovery Gear I keep Onboard

This is the core kit that lives in the RAM so I am ready to help myself or someone else on the trail.

  • Kinetic Recovery Rope & Soft Shackles
For safe, controlled yanks when a vehicle is stuck. Shackles are lightweight and safer than steel.

  • Traction Boards
For sand, snow and mud when I just need a little extra grip

  • Hitch Recovery Point
Drops into the receiver so I always have a solid attachment point.

  • Tire Traction Zip Ties
Single use tire chains is what they work out to be. Very useful if you find yourself without traction boards or chains.

  • Shovel
Digging out tires, shaping recovery paths or clearing obstacles along with basic camping needs.

  • Gloves and Recovery Damper
Protects hands and adds safety when winching
